Niner Transit
Niner Transit bus service is fare-free for students, faculty, staff and visitors; no UNC Charlotte ID required to ride. Operating every day except holidays and when the University is closed. Masks are required on transit.
Getting around on Niner Transit
NextRide
NextRide provides real-time GPS bus tracking, routes, schedules and arrival estimates for Niner Transit buses and Niner Paratransit vehicles. Mobile apps are available in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Service is subject to change without notice due to construction, weather and special events. Updates are posted on Twitter @unccnextride and @unccparking and on NextRide.

Shopping Shuttle rules
- Your 49er Card must be presented when boarding the shuttle; students may be accompanied by non-University guests.
- Masks must be worn at all times.
- Riders must be able to load and carry their belongings onto the shuttle by themselves; the driver will not assist in loading purchases.
- Purchases must fit on the rider’s lap or on the floor in front of them.
- Alcohol beverages are not permitted.
- Drivers are only permitted to pick up riders at designated stops.
- Do not chase a departing shuttle.
- Eating and drinking is not permitted; beverages must have a cap or lid.
- Use headphones when listening to music.
- Do not distract the driver while they are driving.
- Turn in any personal items you may find on the shuttle to the driver.
